SCENTED PANTHER is a performance that turns its gaze toward the medieval allegory of the perfumed panther: an iconic, resilient, fierce, seductive, and elusive creature imagined as the embodiment of poetry. This new research emerges from a desire to explore the themes of disappearance and extinction.
SCENTED PANTHER is a choreographic investigation into the resistance and persistence of bodies that leave traces. The figure of the scented panther, an ancient medieval allegory, becomes the emblem of an elusive animality— one that evokes strength and seduction, capable of attracting without ever fully revealing itself.
This creature is a symbol of embodied poetry: it expresses power, sweetness, and ferocity all at once, and rarely reveals itself to the human eye. Those who say to have seen it are probably wrong.
These elements will translate into an essential solo choreography and performance that explores the plasticity of a body capable of evoking the echo of an animal presence.
SCENTED PANTHER aims to focus on a slow and hypnotic transformation of the body, which progressively incorporates and modifies connotative elements to evoke or summon an imaginary wildness.
SCENTED PANTHER è una performance che punta lo sguardo sull'allegoria medievale della pantera profumata: animale iconico, resistente, feroce, seducente e elusivo, immaginato come l'incarnazione della poesia. Questa nuova ricerca prende l’avvio dal desiderio di lavorare sulla sparizione e l’estinzione.
SCENTED PANTHER è un’indagine coreografica sulla resistenza e sulla persistenza di corpi che lasciano tracce. La figura della pantera profumata, antica allegoria medievale, diventa emblema di un’animalità sfuggente, capace di evocare forza e seduzione, di attrarre senza mai concedersi del tutto.
Questa creatura è simbolo di poesia incarnata: esprime potere, dolcezza e ferocia allo stesso tempo, e raramente si mostra allo sguardo umano. Chi afferma di averla vista, probabilmente si sbaglia.
Questi elementi si tradurranno in un solo coreografico e performativo essenziale che esplora la plasticità di un corpo capace di evocare l’eco di una presenza animale.
SCENTED PANTHER si vuole concentrare su una trasformazione lenta e ipnotica del corpo, che progressivamente incorpora e modifica elementi connotanti per evocare o richiamare una ferinità immaginaria.
